Ward expands Hazardous and Specialist Waste Services to ESPO framework
Derbyshire based metal and waste recycling specialist, Ward, has extended its service provision to the ESPO framework for 378B_21 Hazardous Waste Collection and Disposal Services.
This supplements the ESPOs 378_20 Hazardous and Specialist Waste Services (including Site Clearances) framework which Ward was awarded a place on in October 2020 following a competition tender process.
The new tender award is an extension to this contract running until August 2022, with a potential two year extension. It covers refuse and waste related services involving Hazardous Waste, Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), Chemical Disposal, refuse disposal and treatment of radioactive, toxic, medical and hazardous waste.
Core services provided by Ward under both agreements include collection and disposal of hazardous waste and specialist waste streams such as dry mixed waste, green waste, wood waste and hardcore/rubble waste, liquid waste and oil, as well as site clearances, including furniture.
Tracy Bryan, Senior Commercial Manager at Ward, said:
“To have secured an additional place on the ESPO ‘Hazardous & Specialist Waste Services’ framework agreement is a significant achievement for our team. Having secured a place on the framework has already attracted new public sector customers who have been able to demonstrate that they are receiving the best value for their investment. We hope that this extension will secure future contracts for our nationwide hazardous waste service offering.”
